Build With Us

Small team. Real products. Full autonomy. We build production software people use every day — and you'll own real work end-to-end.

What We're Building

CloudSurf builds software platforms. Surf brings docs, tasks, and team knowledge into one AI-native workspace. Mako is our AI agent that builds and ships real work. SurfDoc is a typed document format for the modern web, and SurfContext gives AI agents persistent project memory. We also build custom solutions for clients -- data migration, secure portals, government cloud deployments.

Everything is production software serving real users. No prototypes, no demos.

What It's Like Here

Small Team, Big Ownership

You own features end-to-end. No tickets assigned by a PM. You see the problem, you build the solution, you ship it.

Real Products, Real Users

Not a consulting shop. We build products people use every day. Multiple production systems running right now.

Bootstrapped, Profitable Focus

No VC pressure, no growth-at-all-costs. We build things that work and charge money for them.

Open Roles

Full-time, remote (US). You'll own real work end-to-end.

Senior Product Engineer — Platform

Full-time · Remote (US)

Own and ship the platforms — Surf, Wavesite, SurfDoc — from the database to the UI. This is the highest-leverage seat at CloudSurf: for a dev-tools company, engineering throughput is growth, and you'll multiply what the whole company can ship.

What you'll do

  • Own features end-to-end across backend, frontend, and mobile — you see the problem, build the solution, and ship it to real users.
  • Build reliable, well-tested production systems and keep them fast and observable.
  • Ship continuously across multiple platforms without a PM handing you tickets.

What we're looking for

  • Senior-level software-engineering fundamentals and high standards (testing, clarity, ownership).
  • Production experience across the stack; able to go deep where it matters and generalize everywhere else.
  • Strong bias for shipping working software.

Growth & Developer Marketing

Full-time · Remote (US)

Make CloudSurf impossible to miss. Great dev tools usually fail from being un-found, not from being weak — you own the top of the funnel for Surf and Wavesite and turn real engineering into reach.

What you'll do

  • Own content, docs, demos, and developer-facing storytelling for app.surf and wave.site.
  • Run growth like an experiment — find the channels that compound and double down with data.
  • Turn our research papers, product launches, and SurfDoc/SurfContext work into credibility and inbound.
  • Build the acquisition pipeline and the developer community around the products.

What we're looking for

  • Developer marketing / DevRel / growth experience for a technical product (you can talk to engineers credibly).
  • A builder's instinct for content and demos, and comfort owning metrics end-to-end.
  • Data-driven, experiment-minded, and hands-on — you run the campaigns, not just brief them.
Applied AI / ML Engineer — Mako

Full-time · Remote (US)

Build the AI that powers Mako and Surf — the moat. Train, fine-tune, and ship models into production software people use every day, and own the quality and economics of chat-to-app generation.

What you'll do

  • Train, fine-tune, and evaluate models (LLMs and beyond) and get them into production, not notebooks — on our own training hardware.
  • Build the data, eval, and inference pipelines around them, and use production telemetry to drive measurable quality gains.
  • Write the product surfaces that use them — agent tooling and AI features in Surf and Mako — to a high software-engineering standard.

What we're looking for

  • Real ML experience — training/fine-tuning, evaluation, and deploying models that serve real traffic.
  • Strong software-engineering fundamentals (testing, code quality, ownership) — we don't separate "research" from "shipping."
  • Comfortable across the stack and motivated by inference economics, not just benchmarks.

Tell us who you are and one thing you've shipped. A résumé is optional — your work speaks louder than a PDF.
